WEB APP Wheeleasy – Everyone can add access info with their phone

Max Burt, founder of Web APP Wheeleasy.org has worked very hard to get here.

And now, he says, everyone can join and I want everyone to know that:

‘If 1 in 200 of us adds access info about one place to our web app with our mobile, we can cover ALL OF AUSTRALIA”.

Max Burt, founder Wheeleasy

Now let that sink in.

Join the Wheeleasy Movement

For anyone with mobility needs, the biggest problem isn’t just physical access, but a lack of access information.

It’s not just for people in wheelchairs, but for anyone who has a problem getting around occasionally (people who use sticks, or walkers, or anyone with dodgy knees or a bad hip, even parents with prams).

One Stop Shop

So they built the WheelEasy Access Information web app. Launched in Sydney and now taking it Australia-wide. It’s a sort of TripAdvisor for access.

A one-stop-shop that brings together all access information into one place.

WEB APP Wheeleasy

Here is how you can join – it is completely free and easy to do. If you love Wheeleasy, you can write about it, share it, or use it. Of course you can also choose to make a donation.

USE WHEELEASY – How does it work?

– Access information of individual places

– Inspiration for accessible Things To Do

Needle in a haystack

WheelEasy works as a map providing access info on INDIVIDUAL places.

Secondly Max and co want WheelEasy to be a source of inspiration for accessible THINGS TO DO.

Finding ideas for a day out is a real headache (it can be like looking for a needle in a haystack!). There’s no one place that curates ideas for accessible outings; whether they are free or things that you pay for.

In the long term, they want people to use WheelEasy as a place where they can share ideas from their own list of favourite things to do.

The easiest way to do this is to go to wheeleasy.org and then click on any Experience or Free Things to Do.

Accessible Favorite of the Year 2021

With an overwhelming number Max Burt’s Wheeleasy web APP has won the Award the Excellence 2021 (awards are given every 2 years by the Accessible Travel Foundation) and the annual Award Accessible Favorite of the Year!

The Award of Excellence 2021 for Accessible Product or Service is in Australian hands.

The Wheeleasy Web APP Access information is running a successful campaign in Australia, mapping the country one place at a time by and for people with a disability.

Follow them on social media and spread the love!
