Board Members Accessible Travel Foundation
In 2025 a new chapter begins… the Accessible Travel Foundation is on a roll. We like to introduce you to our board members.

Marlies van Sint Annaland
Founder
‘If travel was free, you would never see me again‘
Whether in Amsterdam where the Accessible Travel Foundation is based, or abroad, the existing problem causing the absence of (great) accessibility is the lack of bridges. Marlies became a bridge builder.
Distance of the gap you need to cross, building material, how to use it and how to make sure it is safe. Starting with a new way of thinking, it all matters equally.

Gavin Neate
Advisor and Customer Services Specialist
Gavin is a socially-engaged entrepreneur, with over 30 years experience as a Mobility Instructor and Disability advocate. Since founding his company in 2011, Gavin has addressed the challenges faced by disabled people with innovative tech solutions.
Gavin’s aim is to end ‘arrival anxiety’ for both disabled people and those working in customer service. He envisaged and developed WelcoMe a web-based tool that disabled people can use to share their access and communication needs before arrival.
The tool supports businesses with enhanced communication and instant training. WelcoMe functions in the space between traditional training and the point of delivery and empowers all through proximity based knowledge.
Gavin is and has been a full time Digital Nomad for three years where he combines his work with his love of travel living equally between house sitting and his motorhome.
