Breaking Barriers from Costa Rica: Accessible Tourism and a Queen Redefining Beauty
In a country renowned for its biodiversity, another kind of richness is flourishing today: inclusion. Il Viaggio Travel promotes real opportunities so that everyone can enjoy experiences that once seemed out of reach.
With more than 20 years of experience, the agency has established itself as a pioneer in accessible tourism in Costa Rica. Its approach goes beyond adapting services, it creates fully personalized experiences, verified on-site, with adapted transportation and specialized guides.
The company’s social commitment is reflected in its support for the talent of artists and artisans with disabilities, incorporating their creations into the tourism experience. Each piece purchased becomes an authentic Costa Rican keepsake that travelers take home, while also providing a direct source of income for its creators. This initiative not only promotes fair trade, but also redefines the concept of a souvenir: it is no longer just an object, but a story of resilience, talent, and dignity.
Costa Rican Accessible Tourism Network
The impact extends beyond tourism. The alliance with the Costa Rican Accessible Tourism Network has helped strengthen an ecosystem where inclusion is genuinely experienced. In addition, the Il Viaggio Travel team actively participates in social initiatives, such as weekly volunteering in the Donatapa project, focused on collecting plastic materials for charitable purposes. This is complemented by support for inclusive sports projects, such as adapted basketball teams, which the company has supported through the donation of practice uniforms.
Within this context of transformation, a figure emerges who embodies the spirit of this change: Fabiana Castillo. At 29 years old and originally from Naranjo, Costa Rica, Fabiana is Costa Rican Accessible Tourism Network´s ambassador and lives with visual impairment and has turned her story into a platform for impact. She is a model, activist, and currently holds the title of Miss Philanthropic Beauty Costa Rica 2025–2026.
She also serves as Youth Secretary of the Latin American Union of the Blind and collaborates with the Progreso Foundation for Blind People, from where she promotes empowerment and active participation of people with disabilities in all areas of society.

International pageant Queen of the Seas 2026
Today, she will represent the country in the international pageant Queen of the Seas 2026, carrying a clear message:
“People with disabilities can also participate in all spaces.”
Her participation represents not only a personal achievement, but also a collective statement. Her goal is to position Costa Rica as a nation committed to true inclusion, where diversity is not a limitation, but a strength.
Along this journey, Il Viaggio Travel has taken on an active role as Fabiana’s sponsor, demonstrating a strong commitment to initiatives that break paradigms and generate meaningful social impact.
This support is part of a broader vision in which tourism, culture, and inclusion come together to build a more equitable society. In a world where barriers still exist, actions like these show that change is possible when people work together with purpose and concrete actions.
Fabiana needs our support to get there. The funds will be used to create 8 adapted outfits required for the pageants, interviews, and activities of the competition. Each garment is a tool for inclusion, visibility, and representation.
Supporting Fabiana is much more than supporting one person:
it means promoting inclusion, breaking stigmas, and showing that in Costa Rica we are building a future without barriers.
In addition, this dream carries a message of sustainability and circular economy, integrating initiatives such as DONATAPA and LA INSPIRACIÓN.
Today, you can be part of this change. Donate and help us bring Fabiana closer to achieving her dream and to representing an entire generation that is breaking barriers.
