Sea 4 All is the winner of the Award of Excellence 2025 in the category Accessible Travel Product
The Accessible Travel Foundation raises awareness on the importance of accessible travel. Every other year the Awards of Excellence are given to companies, non-profits, travelers and others who stand out from the crowd when it comes to raising awareness or contributing to the world of accessible travel.
Tiliaventum ASD is a non-profit sport association based in Lignano, on the northern Adriatic coast of Italy. For decades, it has been promoting sailing, kite, wing, windsurf, SUP, and other sea disciplines open to everyone, all year round. The association is widely recognized for its long-term commitment to inclusion and accessibility through Sea4All, an initiative offering free sailing and sea experiences to people with disabilities, mental health challenges, serious illnesses, and diverse backgrounds.
Tiliaventum combines sport, social participation, and environmental awareness, turning the sea into a shared space where everyone can belong. The association has its own headquarters, accessible sailing boats and motorboats, specially equipped facilities, and equipment and aids that enable everyone to enjoy the sea.

5 things you need to know about this award winner in Italy
When did you start your work and why?
We began organizing inclusive sea sports initiatives in 1987 when, for the first time, a disabled boy showed up and asked to participate in a sailing course.
Tell us a bit about your city and how do you experience it accessibility wise?
Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy) is a flat seaside town and fortunately quite accessible. We are committed to making it even more accessible, especially in terms of the sea, beach, wind, sun, and water sports, which are common goods.
What is your favorite accessible destination?
Our favorite accessible destinations are seaside towns, coastlines, beaches, lakes, and rivers as well as natural environments and cities of art.

If you could spend 1 million on improving accessibility in your country, what would you do?
I would spend on staff training, invest in targeted research, and in removing architectural barriers.
What would you like to share with our followers?
I would like to share the possibilities offered by inclusive water sports, which can improve the quality of everyday life for everyone and contribute to mental and physical well-being.
