Jobs and projects

The Accessible Travel Foundation is looking for board members. In 2026 you can apply for a position at the board. Use the form below.

In 2009, it all started with a website called www.hotelaccessibility.com. The main and only goal was to create a directory of accessible accommodation around the world. A huge project that seemed almost impossible to set up, let alone to maintain, given all the mountain ranges of impossibilities coming our way constantly.

Nevertheless, years later, a tremendous amount of information on checked and verified accommodation, review websites have been collected all over the world. Nothing short of tens of thousands of pages, links, videos, posts and blogs in many, many countries.

Also a global consultant index is available. An international list of Facebookgroups and a world map filled with the best national resources.

Until today there is no international resource to go to. National platforms have been built, but there is no global version.

Ambition meets audience

Collecting knowledge, experience and persistance over the last decades, it is now time to step up to the next level. The Accessible Travel Foundation will bring it all together.

We are looking for people with experience in a role as board member, charity founders, fund raisers, and legal departments. Preferably speaking 2 languages (English and native language) and available for at least 2 years.

Board members application

Please use this form and share your motivation and experience. We need people from all over the world who are experienced travelers, who work with or volunteer with local or national charities involved in accessible travel.

It is not ‘mandatory’ to have a disability. What matters is to have an international network to work with and put all that knowledge and experience together.

Are you the one we are looking for?
