This means someone in NewYork who is travelling to London could check out and book a visit to a London venue and also when we have some to use it to book to visit a NewYork venue.

From app to web app

WelcoMe is now no longer ‘an app’ to download from an App Store or Google Play. As an ‘app’ it was difficult for many to use and very hard to integrate and use internationally.

WelcoMe is now a ‘web app’. This means there is no download.

‘Welcome by Neatebox’ addresses the issue of inadequate and inconsistent customer service by providing a solution that improves the foundational communication for both visitors and customer service staff.

The system bridges the gap by supporting staff with essential tips on how to interact with their disabled customers and by giving users the confidence that their needs will be met upon arrival.

Today and tomorrow

Since the launch of the app in November 2017: over 2000 app downloads and 800+ visits in the participating venues.

Users that visited venues with the app had the confidence to explore locations they have never been to before or had bad customer experience in the past and were impressed by the improved service they received.

The plan for the coming years is to expand the network of ‘Welcome’ venues across the UK and Ireland and then move internationally.

“The aim is for as many disabled people as possible to benefit from improved disability awareness and understanding. We have had considerable interest from around the world to do exactly this and were recognised in the international Zero Project Awards in Vienna as a leader in this field winning the Innovative Practice Award 2019.” (Source: Zealous)
