The shallow and alkaline Lake Manyara covers a large area of the park and it is the seasonal home to thousands of flamingos. However more than 500 other bird species are also found here as well as some wonderful mammals! You will be lucky to sport Troops of baboons live in the forests, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests on the grassy plains and elephants and lions in the acacia woodlands. From the Safari vehicle you will be able to watch the animals and absorb the landscape. After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch, you will leave the park to make your way to the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro highlands. Overnight at Farm of Dream lodge or similar. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2
Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater

You will start a day early morning and drive into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro Crater is almost 600 m deep, approximately 20 km wide and the massive caldera is home to an amazing variety of animals. On your game drive you will see different kinds of mammals ranging from the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – to Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles and mountain reedbucks. You might also see spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. In the afternoon after a picnic lunch you will leave the crater in the afternoon and travel back to Karatu, where you will spend another night at the Lodge- Farm of Dream lodge or similar. Breakfast, lunch, Dinner.

Day 3
Tarangire National Park – Arusha

Your last day in Animals ground. After breakfast you continue to another park on the Northern Circuit, the Tarangire National Park. This park with its endless grasslands, huge baobab trees, the perennial Tarangire River and seasonal swamps is home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. Animals gather at the river and you should be able to see elephants, giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, dik-diks, waterbucks, warthogs and reedbucks all year round. Furthermore, the park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen every once in a while but cheetahs are rarely spotted. After an extensive game drive, you will leave the park in the afternoon and return to Arusha by early evening.

Breakfast, Lunch.

Why do I need to provide the dimensions of my wheelchair?

Not every wheelchair is the same. We will check with the driver prior to your arrival if your wheelchair fits the vehicle and fits the ramp width. In case needed we arrange a larger size vehicle, or offer a wheelchair van service

Why do I need to provide information about my luggage?

Transportation for disabled people should be guaranteed. Besides your wheelchair or scoot transfer, guests bring luggage for their holidays. We would like to avoid situations in where your adapted vehicle does not have enough space to carry your luggage.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Our drivers check your flight status. In case your flight is late we alter the pickup time accordingly so you can be assured that whatever the time of arrival, your service is guaranteed.

Do the accommodations have a hoist?

No there are not a lot of hotels with hoists for disabled people. Please contact us for details. Service can be offered through the guide or lodge attendant.

What about medical insurance, vaccinations while in Tanzania

It is very important that you bring your own medical insurance. In case of an emergency, we do have very good medical facilities and hospitals in the cities should you need them. We recommend you check with your doctor for the advisable vaccines when traveling to Tanzania; however, you should ask about Malaria, typhoid and Hepatitis A. Additionally, when visiting the Tanzania you will be in equatorial and tropical regions – be sure to ask your doctor about possible medication. While on your tour, it is important to use a lotion or spray against mosquitos in the room.

Can I travel with my guide dog?

Not recommended, because regulations DO NOT allow the entrance of dogs to the National Park.
