Fascinating Fallas

Around the middle of March, an explosive party takes place in Valencia. Forget everything you have seen before, because in no other place of the world do they celebrate an event that is more fascinating than the Fallas, which has actually been declared an event of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

Throughout several nights in mid-March, the streets of Valencia come alive with gigantic, colourful statues and figures that fill the city’s squares and streets. Every day at 2 pm, you can enjoy spectacular shows with music and fireworks. Then, on the last night, most of the sculptures, or fallas, are burned in epic bonfires throughout the city. A select few are saved from the blazes every year and end up in Valencia’s Fallas Museum.
